# Unlinking/Linking Bullhorn records

Sometimes you'll need to unlink or link a Candidate's Bullhorn and Connect record.

**To 'unlink' a Candidate's Connect record you can use the** **Actions >'Unlink Bullhorn'** option

#### **The Steps to unlink a Connect record from a Bullhorn record**

1. **Go to Actions** and click on **'Unlink Bullhorn'**

2. This opens up **the 'Unlink Bullhorn Record' screen**

2. **Double-check** the **Current Bullhorn ID matches the Bullhorn record you wish to unlink the Connect record from.**
3. **Tick the 'I confirm'** and then select the option to **'UNLINK BULLHORN'** to complete this step.

You'll get an on-screen confirmation of 'Candidate Unlinked'. Click 'OK' to close the confirmation.

#### **The Steps to link a Connect record from a Bullhorn record**

Scenario: My Connect record is currently not linked with any Bullhorn record

1. In Bullhorn, go to the Candidate record you wish to link to the Connect record associated with the Candidate.
2. In Kyloe Connect, open up the unlinked Connect record. You'll be given the message: 'No Candidate found!' *in Connect -* with a suggested 'match' in terms of Onboarding ID based on their email address and the option to 'Yes, Link Them'

You'll get a confirmation of 'Candidate linked!' and can click 'OK' to close the confirmation.

**Examples of Scenarios when you would unlink a Connect record from a Bullhorn record**

Kyloe Connect will use the candidate's email address when linking up to an existing Bullhorn record. It will look for an 'Active' Bullhorn record if more than one with the same email address. If Kyloe Connect can't find a 'match' in terms of email address it will create a new Bullhorn record and use this to write the information back to.

Scenario 1: The Candidate registered with a different email address from their existing Bullhorn Candidate record. To link to the correct Bullhorn record, you'll first need to unlink the incorrect linked record before you can re-link the Connect record to the correct Bullhorn record. As shown above.

Scenario 2: Two Bullhorn Candidate records have the same email address.

When you click on the Candidate Connect record for your Candidate in Connect and you get the below message of 'Candidate Already Linked' informing you that the candidate's email address is already linked to a different Bullhorn record.&#x20;
