# Validation

Validation provides the Recruiter with an overview of the current status in terms of the steps completed by the candidate. And once all steps have been completed, you'll see the option to 'Validate' the candidate from here.

'Validate' will lock down the candidate's record, preventing further edits. Files and agreements signed/completed will once validated be sent to the candidate's linked Bullhorn record's Files.&#x20;

You'll have the option to 'Reject' a candidate if they can't go through to validation.

**Once the candidate has been validated, the files will be exported to the linked Candidate Bullhorn record's Files** and a confirmation of the Bullhorn export will appear on the Validation status page.

There will also be the option to **preview all the information exported** for this candidate against the Bullhorn fields.
