When DupliKit identifies two or more records as possible duplicates a master record needs to be chosen.
For company records this is initially determined by the latest last modified date. If two records have identical dates then the record added most recently will be set as the master.
It is possible to modify this master selection process. All three entities can be configured via the following settings:
How it works
DupliKit works from the top of each setting downwards. These settings can be re-ordered by clicking and dragging up or down until they are in the order you expect. Additionally, you can select oldest instead of newest, if this benefits the duplicate matching process for your data.
In the above candidate example date added is checked first. If this is identical then placement date added is then checked and so on down the list.
The Last Note Added field is a field maintained by Bullhorn. This field is usually kept in-sync with actual note records. However, it is possible for notes to be modified and/or deleted against either candidate or contact and this field not be updated.
You can also add two custom master identification field. When adding a custom master identification field, note that any non-date fields will show as 'Populated or Not Populated' for the options. Using this functionality, a record will be identified as the master if it has a value in this field whilst the duplicate does not.
Any changes to these settings will present a save button below. Clicking this will update all the settings above.
Adding custom fields and saving your changes will initiate a new sync of your DupliKit database. This may take some time to complete. Please check the DupliKit dashboard and wait for the sync to complete before making any additional changes to settings.
