Kyloe AwesomeDocs templates are usually created by using a Word document. You can add the Word document under Input template.
The important options under Input template are: 2. Existing template file is where you upload your foundation Word file. 3. Merge section if you are using any HTML in your template. 6. Merge fields only opens the document quicker. Set to yes, it auto loads the document based on the selected template within Kyloe AwesomeDocs in Bullhorn. Not to be set to yes if the template requires a file attachment.
Template type (a) Word upload is the default setting for Kyloe AwesomeDocs templates as usually templates are created by (2) uploading a Word document as their foundation. (b) Create from Blank is used for Kyloe Publish templates. This offers the option to add HTML header and footer fields and is linked to the options under the Publish tab.
Existing template file: Use Upload File to upload your Word (docx only) file. The Word file is used as the notepaper for the template. The final document will include any content from the Word document and any additional HTML section's content. Once a file has been uploaded to the template it can be downloaded anywhere with the download link. A very basic example template Word document is available by clicking the Download an example DocX file link.
Merge Section: If a HTML section exists within the template, this setting determines where in the Word document the HTML section content should be inserted/merged in.
NOTE: If selected section is chosen be aware that this is a zero-based list. The first section break in the Word document is represented by zero in this setting.
Add Page or Section Breaks: If the template has multiple HTML sections this setting determines whether a page or section break is placed between them.
Header and Footer on First Page only: This is used for Publish templates. If checked, only the first page of the final document will include a header and footer. Usually this option is left unticked for AwesomeDocs templates as you can set edit Header/Footers in the uploaded Word document.
Merge fields only: When set to yes, this option automatically generates the document as soon as the template is selected within Kyloe AwesomeDocs in Bullhorn. When set to no, the bullhorn user has to manually click the Create button to generate the document.
Private label | User types | Departments: If these options are left blank, everyone can view the template once made public. Adding entries to these boxes restricts the template to only those Bullhorn users that match at least one of the options for each box. This is useful for showing the same name of template to two groups of users, yet it is actually two different templates with different content and branding.
